My Old Brown Boy

This was by far one of the toughest things I have ever had to do in my life. Dusty came to me my second month of working at Grady Veterinary Hospital. He was a "beat up" puppy with no owner that an SPCA officer brought in at night for us to treat. The next night I came to work with a chew for this poor little pup, he grabbed it, came over to me, and layed down on my leg and started chewing it. From that moment on we spent every minute together. He was an amazing pet!!!! It's been just about a year since I lost my best friend and I still cry passing his urn and typing this today. He left one huge paw print on my heart that will never go away. With the amazing people at Char-mac, they saved some of his ashes for me inside a cross that hasn't left my neck since I recieved it! Only fitting because he never left my side for 12 years. Thank you, Dusty, for being my dog, my friend, and my life for that precious 12 years you gave me. Thank you God, for sending him my way when we really both needed each other! I miss you soooooo much buddy. I know you are with Grandpa and Dr. Karl, who are taking care of you for me until we meet again!
