Learn a little more about what inspires our team to be so dedicated and passionate about veterinary medicine and patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"323\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/KAYCIE.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1600\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It was Kaycie Coy\u2019s childhood dream to become a Registered Veterinary Technician, and she was able to achieve her ambition with encouragement and support from family and friends! She joined the Grady Veterinary Hospital team in 2023, and says, \u201cMy favorite moments are the spark of excitement and delight when a pet is reunited with their family. Bringing an animal peace and comfort when they are in an unfamiliar place is so fulfilling.\u201d Kaycie is dedicated to being considerate, responsible and compassionate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-Meaghan.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1601\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Meaghan D started as a Veterinary Technician with Grady Vet in 2020. She takes care of hospitalized patients and assists the doctors with any other treatments that are needed.&nbsp; She has loved animals her whole life, and she jumped at the chance to start a career helping them. Meaghan says she enjoys, \u201cHelping clients understand that we are here to help them and their pets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"753\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-kim.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1602\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kim Duffey is a Veterinary Technician in Grady Veterinary Hospital\u2019s emergency room and mostly works second shift. She has been caring for animals with our team since 2006. Working in the ER is fast-paced and challenging. She says, \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to work with animals, and being a veterinary technician lets me be hands-on with animals and interact with clients. I love my job most when a challenging case comes into the ER, and we are able to help\u2014to tell the client their animal has a better prognosis now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"459\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Natasha.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1603\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Natasha became one of our valued Veterinary Technicians in 2018. She reflects, \u201cI am usually a very introverted person, but being the connection between people and their furry family members brings me out of my shell.\u201d As part of the Grady Veterinary Hospital team, Natasha draws labs, monitors and administers anesthesia during surgeries, performs daily treatments for our hospital patients and helps patients during appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-selina-2021.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1604\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Selina Greene is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been a valued member of the Grady Veterinary Hospital team since 2016. Her role is vital for caring and treating patients, consoling and updating clients, assisting our Veterinarians and filling prescriptions. She\u2019s passionate about her calling, saying, \u201cBeing a nurse to animals is the most fulfilling work I could imagine outside my home. I just genuinely love them all!\u201d Selina also loves to educate and aid owners in caring for their pets post-hospitalization, for the pet\u2019s overall wellness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-tiffany.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1605\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tiffany Kidd is a Registered Veterinary Technician, and she joined the Grady Veterinary Hospital team in 2006. Her experience and expertise are critical to patient care during surgeries, emergencies and wellness appointments. About why she chose a career helping animals, Tiffany says, \u201cI can relate to people who love animals. I tried human medicine, but it wasn\u2019t for me.\u201d We are certainly glad she found her way to veterinary medicine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"796\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-melanie.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1606\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Melanie Lawall joined our Veterinary Technician team in 2016 as an already experienced technician. During her overnight shifts, she addresses emergencies, treats patients staying in the hospital and monitors anesthesia during emergency surgeries. She says, \u201cI was an animal-crazy kid growing up, and spent most of my free time around them. I love saving the lives of the animals who come to us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-jen-l.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1607\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Veterinary Technician, Jen L is a valuable member of our Internal Medicine team. She assists with complex cases that require specialty care and diagnostics like ultrasounds, endoscopies, colonoscopies, CT scans and more. She adds, \u201cI really enjoy the challenge, and my favorite clients are so involved and passionate about their pet\u2019s care.\u201d She became interested in Internal Medicine after one of her pets was a patient of Dr. McElravy in 2009. The experience changed her career aspirations, and she switched her college major to Veterinary Technician. Jen joined the Grady Vet team in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"385\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-robert.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1608\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Veterinary Technician Robert McCabe has been a familiar sight around Grady Veterinary Hospital since 1997. Over the years, his responsibilities have grown. He\u2019s in the process of changing his role, graduating in December with a degree in Human Resources. Robert shares what he loves about working with animals and people, \u201cIt\u2019s the relationships built. I enjoy my interaction with our clients as much as taking care of their pets.\u201d Ever since he was a child, he\u2019s shared a special relationship with animals, and he\u2019s glad for the many years his career has been animal-focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"794\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-kristnM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1609\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After a previous career, Kristn McCann made the decision to become a Veterinary Technician and change her life. She adds, \u201cIt was the best decision I ever made. I have always wanted to work with animals.\u201d She joined Grady Vet in 2014, and performs important work like IV catheters, X-Rays, blood draws, assisting in surgeries and more. Her favorite part of the job is seeing animals recover after a long illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"556\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-katie-m.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1610\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Katie M. was welcomed to the Grady Veterinary Hospital team in 2024. She\u2019s a Registered Veterinary Technician who is passionate about advocating for animals, who can\u2019t speak for themselves. She provides the utmost care to patients and assists doctors during surgery. Katie says, \u201cI love communicating with clients and educating them on veterinary care. I love working with animals and seeing them get help with the medical care I provide.\u201d At home, she spends time with her six cats and two dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-kaitlyn.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1611\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kaitlyn Mills joined the Grady Vet team in 2015, and she is a Veterinary Technician who works third shift.&nbsp; She cares for emergency patients, along with administering treatments for our ICU patients. Her goal is to make animals feel like Grady Vet is their home away from home and help keep their humans up to date on what\u2019s happening. She says of her love for animals, \u201cAnimals love us unconditionally, so I want to do that for them as well. They deserve it!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"714\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-kelsey-moore.jpg\" alt=\"Registered Veterinary Technician\" class=\"wp-image-1625\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelsey Moore trained to become a Registered Veterinary Technician because she wants to make a positive difference in animals\u2019 lives. She joined the Grady Veterinary Hospital team in 2024, and she fills her busy day with triaging emergencies, IV\u2019s, treating patients and caring for hospitalized patients. Kelsey shares, \u201cI love being able to nurse animals back to health and being able to reunite clients with their pets, once they are healthy.\u201d She has always loved animals, and shares her home with her two cats and albino corn snake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"365\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-2023-Ashley-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1612\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashley Price is a Registered Veterinary Technician who started her Grady Veterinary Hospital career in 2023. She has always had a special love for animals, and it\u2019s been her dream to work with them. She says, \u201cI love taking care of animals when they are in need and being their person when their owners cannot be there.\u201d Ashley\u2019s responsibilities include helping doctors with surgeries, caring for hospitalized patients and seeing walk-in emergency cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Erin-Rausch.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1613\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An experienced Veterinary Technician, Erin Rausch started at Grady Veterinary Hospital 2007. She provides compassionate and expert nursing care for sick pets. She remembers, \u201cGrowing up, I always knew I wanted to have a career that involved helping animals,\u201d and we are so happy she joined our team! At Grady Vet, we all work together for the best of our patients and clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Kristen-R-preferred.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1614\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kristen Rogers is a veteran Registered Veterinary Technician, having started at Grady Veterinary hospital in 2003. She enjoys the variety of her daily responsibilities, from internal medicine to surgery to general patient wellness care. She adds, \u201cI like building relationships with clients and their pets, and I love seeing when pets who have been sick are feeling better.\u201d Kristen has loved animals all her life and wanted to work with them since she was a little girl!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/carrie-ward-blog.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1615\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Veterinary Technician Carrie Ward joined the Grady Veterinary Hospital team in 2024. She assists Dr. Brian Ward with surgeries, from soft tissue to orthopedic to neurologic. She preps patients and scrubs into surgery. Carrie says about her calling, \u201cI get easily attached to my patients and like knowing I can help them and their owners in any way I can.\u201d She\u2019s loved animals ever since she can remember and shares her home with four dogs and one cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-patrick.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1616\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick Weaver is a true veteran of Grady Veterinary Hospital, being a valued part of our team since 1989. As a Veterinary Technician, he\u2019s impressed at how veterinary technology has improved over the years, \u201cWhen I started, we didn\u2019t even have computers. Now we have a CT scanner. Medical technology has grown so much, and it helps us heal and help more animals.\u201d Patrick also performs inventory for the hospital, which is an important, behind-the-scenes challenge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Maria.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1617\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Maria White joined the Grady Veterinary Hospital team in 2023. During the course of her day, she performs catheterizations, fills medications, draws labs, feeds patients who are staying with us and more. She really enjoys, \u201cPutting the clients at ease from their worry and the patients at ease from their pain.\u201d Maria has always been drawn to animal care, and when she learned about Veterinary Technicians in high school, the rest was history!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gradyvet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/blog-Caleb-Yoder.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1618\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We also want to recognize our Lab Team! Caleb Yoder has been part of the Grady Vet team since 1998, working in different roles. He\u2019s a Lab Technician who runs blood work like heartworm, blood count and chemistries. The lab is process-oriented and requires an attention to detail that Caleb specializes in.
